This sign is significant because the first time I rode to Mount Cheaha was in early January of 2006 when we had a really cold spell. The temperature had dropped into the teens and had only risen to the 20s by the time I made it here. I had lost feeling in one of my feet, so I had taken off both my shoes and run around on the pavement to get the blood flowing again!
